As part of a start up organisation your role will be hands on, varied and exciting. Working at Laulima will allow you to use your expertise on some very successful websites - receiving millions of visitors monthly. This means your work will be seen, used and appreciated from the very first days. You will also be involved with several innovative new projects, building within an exisiting PHP website framework. [b]Requirements:[/b] [*]You need to be a PHP guru [*]You need to speak fluent PHP [*]You need to love working with PHP, dream about PHP and want to take PHP home and introduce it to your family... Other skills that would be valuable: [*]Ajax, Javascript, JQuery [*]MySQL [*]CSS based design [*]HTML, XML and variations [*]Linux/Unix development environment experience - scripting, bash, svn, cvs, gnome, [*]Experience with developing for multiple browsers - Safari, Firefox, IE, Opera [*]Search Engine Optimisation - from a coding point of view - mod_rewrite or equivalent. [*]Perl, Python, Java and other programming languages are useful but not key. [*]Any experience working within the Facebook API is a bonus. [*]Language: you must have good English, both written and spoken. [b]Education:[/b] A degree in computer science or closely related subject would be advantageous however if you don't have a degree - and can prove to us that you do have the necessary programming skills - we will consider your application. For the senior developer role we require a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in web development using PHP.
